Woodturning Art Exhibit at The Artists Showplace Gallery

The Artists Showplace Gallery is pleased to present the stunning work of nationally recognized woodturners Kevin Bassett and Gary Sanders from June 3 to June 30. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Kevin Bassett’s interest in the art of woodturning evolved from his extensive study of plant pathology in his home state of Colorado, followed by a distinguished 40-plus-year career as a certified arborist. He describes his work as a collaboration with nature.

Gary Sanders, a retired firefighter from Greenville, Texas, began woodturning professionally in 1993. His artwork has been accepted into national juried woodturning exhibitions, and he has work in private collections and museums. Gary teaches locally and has conducted woodturning demonstrations across the country and in Australia. He is known for his finishing techniques and his eye for detail.
