June 12-16, (Mon-Fri 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.) - Addressing social issues through personal stories and performance. This is a free-form workshop with writing elements, culminating in a performance of original works inspired by social issues and personal stories. Students will learn: playwriting, performance poetry (slam poetry), how poetry exists in music (lyrics and rap), how to incorporate comedy into serious topics, and how to create a powerful and personal show that they will debut on our Studio stage. ($150)
