Dallas’ floral goddess Shamsy Roomiani is sprouting at Circuit12 for her pop-up exhibition PLANTASTIC May 18, 6 p.m. The exhibition will feature new work, fluorescent Shamstones, nature Specimens, plants and the release of a limited edition book published by Circuit12, signed and numbered by the artist.
Shamsy Roomiani is native Texas visual artist who is inspired by the natural world. She received a Fine Arts degree in Printmaking and a BA in Marketing from The University of North Texas. She works in various art forms such as printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and installation art. In addition to being a maker, Shamsy teaches workshops in DFW and hosts print and paper related events for companies such as the Nasher Sculpture Center, Neiman Marcus, West Elm, and NorthPark Center. She has been featured in The Dallas Morning News, The North Texan, The Star-Telegram, DMagazine, and the Observer. Her most recent solo exhibition was Botanica Spectrum at Eastfield College in January 2017.
