In the wake of family tragedies, Elena runs away to Ciudad Jaurez and attempts to make a life for herself. She is drugged by a man named Lucio, who sells her to Rosaura, the owner of a brothel fronted by a nightclub. Thrown into this dark world of corruption and sin, she becomes a sensation as a dancer and singer, all the while plotting her revenge.
