Castle Hills residents, neighbors, and friends are invited to enjoy the music of their favorite boy bands at the Castle Hills Village Shops when The Boy Band Night takes the stage on Saturday, June 10, as part of the 2017 Castle Hills Spring Concert Series. This year’s concert series is presented by the City of Lewisville, in partnership with Castle Hills developer Bright Realty. The FREE concerts take place at the Castle Hills Village Shops, located at 2540 King Arthur Boulevard.
The Boy Band Night, a boy band tribute band, pays homage to the most popular boy bands of yesterday and today. Classics from *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, One Direction and more will be on the playlist.
The Boy Band Night concert is sponsored by Kroger. Come early to the concert to reserve your spot in front of the main stage built for the event on Lady of the Lake. Spread out on blankets and in lawn chairs with the whole family (and leave yourself plenty of room to dance; you know you will). Family-friendly activities such as bounce houses, carnival games and prizes, face painters and a black light photo booth start at 6:30 p.m. The Boy Band Night will play on the main stage from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The event’s opening band is the Castle Hills Teacher Band, presented by The Music Academy of Castle Hills, performing on the Plaza stage from 6:45 to 7:45. Members of the teacher band also will offer free 10-minute mini-music lessons from 6:30 to 8:00.
Guests can bring a picnic basket to the concert, enjoy food and drinks from one of the food vendors at the event or visit one of the Castle Hills Village Shops restaurants.
Freebirds, which has a nearby location at Castle Hills Marketplace, will have a tent onsite serving steak burritos, nachos, street tacos and tostadas. The Castle Hills Planet Sub will also have a tent serving subs and sides. Ms. Piggy’s food truck will serve gumbo, red beans & rice, chicken fingers, corn dogs and funnel cakes.
Village Shops restaurants open during the event offer a variety of food and cocktail options. PI.E 3.14 Everyday Eatery, open until 10 p.m. for food and later for drinks, specializes in signature pizzas and a one-of-a-kind drink menu. T.B.D. Kitchen, open until 11 p.m. for food and later for drinks, has great tacos and burritos, as well as its daily “Daisy,” the eatery’s specialty cocktail. Grab some fresh sushi and sashimi at Kanzi Sushi & Hibachi until 10 p.m. or some Chinese stir-fry and spring rolls at Z’s Wok until 10:30 p.m. For a sweet post-concert treat, visit Froyo Smoo-licious, open until 10 p.m.
The concert and activities are free; concessions are available for purchase. Bring your friends and neighbors! Everyone is welcome.
