On Saturday evening, May 13, at 7 p.m., the Voices of Flower Mound will present “Isn’t it Romantic”, a concert of selections you and mom will love – pop music by songwriters whose songs have remained popular over the years. Several Gershwin selections, including ”Summertime”, from the musical Porgy and Bess, along with selections from other musicals –“Over the Rainbow” from Wizard of Oz, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Disney’s Toy Story and “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Other tunes date as far back as the 1930s by artists such as Hoagy Carmichael, Henry Mancini, and Elvis Presley.
The May 13 concert will take place at the Flower Mound Community Church, located on the south side of the intersection of Cross Timbers Rd. (FM 1171) and Glenwick Blvd. The address is 3415 Cross Timbers Rd, Flower Mound.
Advance tickets, priced at $12 for adults and $8 for seniors and students, may be purchased online by credit card or PayPal, available on the VFM website, voicesofflowermound.com.
