Summer brings fun outside and a break from school! Give young ones a way to keep minds engaged with our fall Video Camp. With video websites and smartphone apps growing, spreading and influencing our society daily, the age of amateur short film is upon us. Video Camp is a complete immersion into the world of film making, including collaboration in writing a script or song for performance in a short film. Together, campers will plan shots and storyboards, cast roles, rehearse, film and edit the video. This year, students will get firsthand experience putting their video skills to the test with a special video scavenger hunt on DART rails! Participants will experience the value of imagination and dramatization, while learning various aspects of performance and improvisation. For youth ages 10-16. Students should bring their own lunch to enjoy at The Writer’s Garret.
