2 - Day Building Blocks of a Professional Process Boot Camp (Grades 5-12)

Dallas Children's Theater

Jeff Swearingen, Creative Director of Fun House Theatre and Film will conduct a weekend workshop!

Students bring a lunch and drink on Saturday and a snack on Sunday.
Through lecture, exercises, and short scene work, this workshop will cover techniques that will help young actors start to develop their own process outside of what they have learned in other theater classes or productions.

Students will leave this two-day intensive with information, techniques, and exercises they can start using immediately to approach acting opportunities like a professional actor.
This new two-day offering will include:
• A rundown of critical skills an actor must master along with exercises for individual practice.
• Tackling audition materials and script analysis as an actor by learning the classic types of drama/comedy, types of characters, and basic character archetypes, along with the basic types of conflict and how those influence/relate to performance.
