For years, R.P. “Dick” Washburne has followed his passion, travelling the world practicing the art of photography and working to perfect his craft. He has studied with some of the best photographers in the world and learned well, as evidenced in this new exhibition. Since his first exhibition at Sun to Moon Gallery in 2009, he has covered a lot of territory and subject matter. Sun to Moon Gallery is proud to present a diverse selection of finely crafted photographic prints by Washburne, including classic prints and prints being shown for the first time. Ansel Adams famously wrote, “The negative is comparable to the composer’s score and the print to its performance. Each performance differs in subtle ways.” Washburne takes this concept to heart, carefully crafting his colorful prints to make each “sing” in its own glorious way.
