Celebrate Mother’s Day with fire and flames at Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery. Show your love for Mom by helping create a special gift as beautiful and unique as she is. Come and assist our glassblowers as they create a glass-blown flared bowl or flower, the perfect presents for Mom. Even better, bring Mom for an exciting shared experience during our Mother’s Day Bowls Help-Create events on April 29 and May 5 or our Mother’s Day Help-Create Flowers event on May 6.
Mother’s Day Bowls Help-Create events are scheduled for Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, May 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. Participants have the option of selecting colors from five color schemes before applying colors to a hot molten glass gather. Participants (14 years or older) then heat the colors in Vetro’s 2,02,000-degreernace before watching one of Vetro’s professional glassblowers shape the flared bowl. The cost is $65.00 (plus tax) per flared bowl. Reservations are required and must be made online.
Mother’s Day Help-Create Flowers is scheduled for Saturday, May 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participants have the option of selecting colors from five color schemes and applying colors to a hot molten glass gather. Participants then watch one of Vetro’s professional glassblowers heat the colors and shape the glass flower. The cost is $30.00 (plus tax) per glass flower. Reservations are not needed for this first-come, first-serve event.
Due to the annealing process, glass flared bowls and glass flowers will not be available for pick-up until the next business day after 3:00 p.m.
