Lara described herself as "a South African American artist with a fierce work ethic and passion for creativity. I love to create and collaborate with other artists and musicians."
She is represented by The Misfit Gallery in the Bishop Arts district. She was inspired by artists such as Jean Michele Basquiat and Frida Kahlo, and began dedicating days and nights to painting. She adds: "My motto is that life without passion is meaningless, and art is my passion."
