From the simplest of lighting set-ups to the most complex configuration, the starting point of any lighting formula is the key light. Knowing how and where to place the primary light source is crucial. This is where we will begin in Studio Portrait Lighting Intensive.
On day one you will learn how to competently use a single light source and by mid-afternoon you will begin to see first-hand just how strong single source lighting can be. On day two we will expand the repertoire. You will learn how to use reflectors, add fill lights and various ways to light a background. You will also learn about “feathering” and “edge lighting” and how to approach and interact with a subject. Then you will put all of this knowledge to the test with real models!
