WTF - Winning The Fight! and Plano ISD Council of PTAs to Present "NOT ME" Film

Williams High School Auditorium

WTF - Winning The Fight! and Plano ISD Council of PTAs to Present "NOT ME" Film Opening the Dialogue About How Teen Drug Addiction Can Happen to Any Family Mar. 21 — WTF – Winning The Fight! provides drug education, support, and resources to youth and families suffering from the disease of addiction. Education is empowering. More than three in five teens say prescription pain relievers are easy to get from a parent’s medicine cabinet. Don’t wait until addiction happens in your family. The Plano ISD Council of PTAs and Winning The Fight! invite middle and high school students and their parents to a showing of the documentary “NOT ME”. There will be a panel discussion immediately after the film to answer questions. “NOT ME” is a film about eight separate individuals that collectively tells a complete story of addiction, denial, and recovery and depicts the honest and heartbreaking struggle so many families face today. The goal is to reach families currently dealing with addiction and to prepare families who may experience it in the future with critical information and resources. With drug overdoses on the rise, the need to open a dialogue and reduce the stigma associated with addiction is necessary to winning the fight.

The film is appropriate for children, 9 and older, and families are encouraged to attend together. Please attend one of the following showings: • April 2, 2:30 - 4 pm at the Plano ISD Administration Building located at 2700 West 15th Street in Plano. • April 5, 6:30 – 8 pm at Williams High School located at 1717 17th Street in Plano. • April 20, 6:30 – 8 pm at Plano ISD Sockwell Center located at 6301 Chapel Hill Boulevard in Plano.
