The Eastfield College Dance Department is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Faculty Dance Concert on Friday, March 31 at 8:00 p.m. in the Eastfield College Performance Hall.
This year's concert will feature premieres from Program Coordinator Danielle Georgiou, "It's Best To Consult Others Before Taking Unusual Actions", and faculty member Melissa Sanderson, "Snake". Faculty member Kiera Amison will be restaging "going Mad," which premiered this year at the Muscle Memory Dance Theatre spring concert.
Guest artist Jordan Fuchs will present an excerpt from his upcoming trio, "Torsion," and current Eastfield College Artists-in-Residence Claire Augustine and Elisa De La Rosa will both present solos. Ms. Augustine will perform the Dallas premiere of a solo from her work, "Port City." Ms. De La Rosa will perform the Dallas premiere of "immigrante". Ms. De La Rosa recently received critical acclaim for her work this summer in Dallas during Muscle Memory Dance Theatre's "Made in a Day" project with her work "Hypnotizado." We are thrilled to be hosting her here at Eastfield College!
Performers include company members from the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group, Jordan Fuchs Company, and Muscle Memory Dance Theatre, as well as independent artists from Dallas, Denton, and Houston.
