The Common Ground Experiment Poetry Readding

Opening Bell Coffee

The Common Ground Experiment is a collaborative project in which the 4th graders of Wesley Prep have teamed up with their friends at Austin Street Center to write poetry. Our goal is to invite unity through collective creativity and find common ground, and our hope is to inspire the Dallas community to do the same. Mayor Rawlings has declared 2017 "The Year of Unity," and we are hoping to bring the citizens of Dallas one step closer to that reality by sharing something beautiful that we created together.

We will be reciting our poems at Opening Bell Coffee on April 29 from 2-4 p.m.  The event is free as long as you order food or a beverage, but donations are encouraged. In addition, you may purchase a poetry book, mug, or t-shirt to support The Common Ground Experiment. All donations and profits will benefit The Austin Street Center and funding further Common Ground Experiments.

If you are tired of division and ready for inspiration, this is the event for you!  Watch these young and "young at heart" poets share their profound points of view through spoken word.
