Dallas-based Teatro Flor Candela celebrates its 10th year of bringing Spanish-language and bilingual theatre to North Texas! This celebration and fundraiser will feature previews of "Teatro Ambulante Fo" ("Fo Travelling Theatre"), modeled after the Italian Commedia Dell'Arte and its beloved characters: Arlequino, Polichinela, and others, who accompany restless spirit "Lazzi" in her search for a better time in which to live. Donations will support additional, free performances as Teatro Fo's specially-equipped vehicle soon begins to visit Dallas parks, public spaces, and underprivileged, working-class neighborhoods, promoting compassion and the love of life through theatre without walls. The evening will also feature a performance by electric group Novo Pangea, whose music strives to transmit positive messages for today's troubled world. Refreshments and appetizers will be available. Open and free to the general public, with donations graciously accepted!
Free entry. Saturday April 8, 7-9 p.m.
