The Dallas Festival of Ideas

Shaping the city and the future by igniting, uniting, and energizing the people of Dallas through the power of ideas.

The 2017 Dallas Festival of Ideas with a focus on creating equity for all Dallas citizens. This year, the Dallas Festival of Ideas and the Dallas Book Festival will unite to focus the power of smart thinking on ways to make Dallas The Equitable City.  As equity and growth take center stage, so does action. Community participation is strongly encouraged and welcomed as this platform seeks to have all voices heard. 

Venue: Dallas City Hall Plaza and J. Erik Jonsson Central Library

Admission to the Dallas Festival of Ideas and the Dallas Book Festival is free. Registration is now open and recommended.

The Dallas Festival of Ideas is presented by The Dallas Institute of Humanities & Culture and The Dallas Morning News. The Dallas Book Festival is presented by the Dallas Public Library and Friends of the Dallas Public Library.
