An Evening With! Crusade Against Ugliness: George Kessler’s Plans with Kevin Sloan

The Dallas Historical Society will present An Evening With! a four-month lecture series exploring Dallas and Texas history with authors and experts discussing fascinating topics supported by exhibitions of related items from the Dallas Historical Society collection.

Landscape Architect and Urban Planner Kevin Sloan will be discussing George Kessler’s 1911 plan for Dallas Kessler termed “Crusade against Ugliness,” Sloan will give an overview of Kessler’s remarkable innovations and accomplishments in city planning, parks and thoroughfares for Dallas and Kansas City. 

Each evening will start at 6:30 and will be held at The Hall of State in Fair Park. Free for DHS members, $10 for non-members or $30 for the series. For more information go to www.dallashistory.org
