Fulfilling the Vision: Celebrating One Dallas Art School’s Impact on the World

Saturday, April 1, 7 - 10 p.m. at Jackson Walker in Dallas

Book launch party with performances and demonstrations by alumni of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts

The book includes a history of the school and 67 in-depth alum interviews with Erykah Badu, Edie Brickell, Norah Jones, Broadway dancer Chris Vo, choreographer Teresa Espinosa, actress Erica Tazel, Hollywood producer Wendy Calhoun, Dylis Croman (plays Roxie in Chicago), muralist Chris Arnold, photographer/artist Brian Guillaux, artist Heather Gorham, and many more.

The event will feature:

Singer Cedric Neal (now playing Barry Gordy in a London West End musical)

Couture demonstration with NYC artist Elisa Jimenez (has been featured in Vogue, New York Times, People)

Tejano Idol winner Monica Saldivar, NYC keyboardist Frank LoCrasto, and more.

The book is published by Fulfilling the Vision, a non-profit organization dedicated to highlighting and promoting students and the arts in North Texas.

All proceeds from the event will be applied to the distribution of this inspiring book to students and teachers throughout the Dallas Independent School District.
