For more than 45 years, the small artists’ community of Edom in East Texas has hosted a festival for working artists presenting their talents to an appreciative audience of gifters and collectors. The festival is the premier art show in East Texas. High-quality art, fine crafts, live music and great food fill the festival grounds behind the resident artists’ studios on the one main street in town, Farm to Market road 279.
This year’s festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15. Admission is free.
Visit the resident artists’ studios on the main street, for which Edom is well known. While in town for the festival, visitors can enjoy local restaurants, The Shed and Yesy’s Café, and tour the gardens of Edom: Blue Moon Gardens, Blueberry Hill farms, and Glenda Mae’s Daylily Farm. The “artistic” atmosphere of Edom brings forth the “creative spirit” in everyone who visits.
