During his adrenaline-filled career as a military photographer, Lock documented battles, disasters and everyday life in Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, Haiti, Mongolia and many other locations. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for distinguished service in Iraq, and was named Military Photojournalist of the Year seven times. Though no longer in the military, Lock’s intense vision and passion continue to motivate and inspire him and his work. He travels constantly, documenting landscapes that evoke the frightening power and awesome beauty of the world and capturing images of the people who occupy it that evoke the essence and reality of humanity at its finest and its worst.
