Swang Lin loves cooking, chess, video games, tennis, and his two cats, Pinky and Misha.  He also loves playing the violin, and he is very good at it.  He is Associate Concertmaster of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and will be the featured soloist at the final Lewisville Lake Symphony concert of the 2016-17 season.  He has performed at concert halls all across the United States and Europe, including Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

A native of Taipei, Taiwan, Swang received his degrees in violin performance from the Eastman School of Music and plays the “Eugenie, ex-Mackenzie” Antonio Stradivari violin (1685).  He will perform the Sibelius Violin Concerto.
