Rta Kapur Chishti is one of the leading scholars and researchers of India's handmade textiles - spun/handwoven organic cotton/silk. Her trunk show will showcase stoles, saris, and other textiles. Ms. Chishti will give and informal talk on Friday, April 14, at the Crow Collection of Asian Art.
On Saturday, April 15, Ms. Chishti will present "The Sari: Magic of the Unstitched Garment" at The University of Texas at Dallas's Asia Center.
To offset some of the costs donations will be accepted. Donors at the $100 level who will get front row seats at the Asia Center event and a gift of Rta's creations - a stole.
