LuminArte Fine Art Gallery Presents globally successful and acclaimed artist Albena Hristova. Albena was born and raised behind the Iron Curtain in Bulgaria. Her first influence was her mother, who at the time was the leading restorer of the Bulgarian National Gallery in Sophia. Following in her footsteps, she started painting at the age of four and went on to complete 12 years of classical art education as well a Masters in Mural Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia. Albena participated in many Art Basel shows where corporate and private collectors bought her works before show openings. Albena now resides in Southern California with her family.
Albena’s artistic interests have taken her to many different subject matters from classical and traditional to the expressionist and abstract; from floral and architectural themes to canyons and deserts. Her sweeping signature style weaves effortlessly through varied themes.
