Texas music icon and singer-songwriter Gary P. Nunn and veteran singer-songwriter and master storyteller Bob Livingston revisit the golden days of Texas music with a night of Texas stories and songs at Poor David’s Pub in Dallas.
“I love playing with Gary and I’m looking forward to being with my old friend, playing music, telling stores, singing songs and spreading the gospel of Texas music”, said Bob Livingston. “This is a chance for both of us to open up and maybe find out something we didn’t know about each other. We’ll be playing songs by artists that include Stephen Fromholz, The Lost Gonzos, Jerry Jeff Walker, Michael Martin Murphey, and Ray Wylie Hubbard.”
“This will be a special night for us to share our memories of all the good, creative and exciting times that we’ve shared together since we started playing together in 1971 and tell the stories behind the songs,” said Gary P. Nunn. “You can also expect to hear some old favorites from B. W. Stevenson, Willis Alan Ramsey, and Uncle Walt's Band.”
This will be an acoustic show and fans can look forward to a casual and unscripted evening where Gary P. Nunn and Bob Livingston will perform songs and take turns telling stories. Texas Stories and Songs is part of an ongoing series featuring Gary P. Nunn and Texas singer-songwriters. Gary and Bob played their first Texas Stories and Songs show to a sold out crowd in Austin on December 6th at The Saxon Pub.
