Juan Williams - We the People: The Modern-Day Figures Who Have Reshaped and Affirmed the Founding Fathers’ Vision of America

Tower Club

Juan Williams, co-host of Fox News Channel’s popular afternoon daily news discussion show The Five, is clearly both a man at home in a conversation and an analyst excited about the opportunity to talk about American politics and personalities.

As the nation’s presidential campaign continues to provide breaking news daily, Williams has accepted the Council’s invitation to participate in two conversation programs.

A veteran journalist, Williams is not only a political analyst for Fox, but also a regular panelist on Fox News Sunday and Special Report With Bret Baier. He also is a regular substitute host for Bill O’Reilly on The O’Reilly Factor.

For Council conversation programs in Dallas and McKinney, Williams will be joined by Council President and CEO Jim Falk, a veteran of interviewing newsmakers and the people who cover them.

Williams’ Council appearances follow the publication of his latest book, WE THE PEOPLE: The Modern-Day Figures Who Have Reshaped and Affirmed the Founding Fathers’ Vision of What America Is.

The author touches on the influence of, among others, President Ronald Reagan, Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., Rev. Billy Graham, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, gay community leaders in the Stonewall Riots in 1969 in New York City and the “role of women in contemporary life as shaped by [feminist leader] Betty Friedan.”

Williams is an award-winning journalist, documentarian and author of several books, including the non-fiction bestseller Eyes on the Prize: America's Civil Rights Years, 1954-1965
