Brown Bag Lunch & Artist Talk w/ James Behan

The Cliff Gallery is proud to present new work by professor and contemporary visual artist, James Behan. His self-titled exhibition is a test of process as he builds up layers of colors, lines, and textures. Each painting, some spanning 7 feet in size, possesses climate-based titles such as “Solstice” and “Squall”. However, these works are not Behan’s attempt to abstract weather fronts. Rather each painting, through trial, symbolizes the improbability that can be found throughout nature; the certainty of uncertainty.

“James Behan” will be featured in the Cliff Gallery from April 11 through May 13, 2016. The Cliff Gallery is located on the Mountain View College campus at 4849 West Illinois Avenue in Dallas, TX. Professor Behan will discuss the inspiration for his work during a Brown Bag Artist Talk on April 21 at 12:30pm and a reception will occur on May 6 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Both events are free and open to the public.
