Texas Writers Exhibition


Dallas Public Library - J. Erik Jonsson Central Library

Beginning April 17th, 2016 at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, the Dallas Public Library will present “Texas Writers,” an exhibition produced by Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.  

“Texas Writers” surveys the vitality and breadth of creative writing in Texas from mid-twentieth century to the present day in a series of panels featuring portraits of authors, books, workplaces, narrative settings and evocative quotations. 

The exhibition will be available to the public through May 14th, 2016 during the library’s open hours 

Other free events open to the public at the Dallas Public Library in April include: 

●       North Texas Book Reviewers Preview on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm 

●       Express Yourself! Youth Poetry Competition Award Ceremony,  April 23rd at 11:00am 

●       Dallas Book Festival on April 30th, 10:00 am-6:00 pm.

○       “The Texas Woman Writer: Her Voice, Her Texas” panel discussion.  This program was made possible in part with a grant from Humanities Texas
