Farmers Branch Vintage Base Ball Festival

Farmers Branch Historical Park

The Farmers Branch Mustangs Base Ball Club are pleased to announce the annual Farmers Branch Vintage Base Ball Festival will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016  at the Farmers Branch Historical Park (2540 Farmers Branch Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas, 75234).

Teams from Kansas, San Angelo, Carrollton, Irving, and Plano have all committed to play in games of 1860s base ball. Each team is expected to play 2-3 games of base ball and participate in a game of town ball at the end of the day.

Admission is free.

Bring your little leaguer or budding Rangers fan out to a festival celebrating base ball as it was first invented in the 1860s. Real teams play according to historic rules throughout the day. Historic spectators and ballists will be available to answer questions and take photos. Cheer “Huzzah” for your favorite team as the players participate without gloves and according to rules from the Civil War Era.

Visit for a schedule of games and events or contact the Historical Park at [email protected] or 972.406.0184 for more information.
