Carolyn Lee Jones always wanted to be a singer and lead a band! After a successful buying career with luxury retailer Neiman Marcus she is doing just that! Denise Lee Onstage presents this exciting new season of Cabaret in conjunction with Fair Park Dallas. Celebrating National Jazz Appreciation Month , Carolyn Lee Jones and her jazz quartet kick off April with an exciting new Cabaret - Jazz show titled " I'd Rather Lead A Band " inspired from the music of the same name by Irving Berlin.
The performance is designed and delivered in an intimate style, with plenty of anecdotal information about the songs and composers, as well as Jones' inspiration for choosing them.The show includes a wide variety songs and Ms. Jones funny experiences on the road while coming into her own as a singer.
Her band features Tommy DeSalvo (p) Jeffry Eckels (b) Jaelun Washington (d) and Rob Holbert (sax + backing vocals)
Celebrate history with this “popular-jazz-cabaret” styled show at the beautifully restored Womens Museum Fair Park.
