Sammons Cabaret: Corey Paul Breedlove

Sammons Center for the Arts

Recording and performing since the tender age of 12, Corey Breedlove has gained plenty of attention for his lively shows filled with wit, crowd interaction, and terrific music. Known early in his career for his diversity and talent, he would later develop a passionate interest in the Great American Songbook after buying a Sinatra CD for $1 at his local bookstore. Blending iconic jazz standards from the 1920s-1940s with country, blues, and original music, Corey is a natural-born entertainer dedicated to creating and sharing art. With a voice compared to Tony Bennett’s, and a style likened to Sinatra’s, this Dallas native was a hit at the fall 2015 Cabaret & Cabernet with his rendition of “A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square.”
