From turkey and dressing to sweet potatoes and pecan pie, wouldn’t it be nice to work that Thanksgiving dinner off before you take your first bite?
The Y’s 34th annual Turkey Trot features a 10K run, a 5K run/walk and a 1K Gobbler Trot for kids and families. Proceeds from the Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot benefit the scholarship/youth program of the Westside YMCA. Persons who wish to utilize the services of the Y but cannot afford them are given assistance based on their needs, allowing those who otherwise would not be able to participate.
All races start in front of Frost Bank at 6115 Camp Bowie at Westridge, with the Gobbler Trot kicking things off at 8:00 a.m. The 10 K follows at 8:15 and the 5K begins shortly afterwards at 8:30. All races end at Sunset and Westridge. Course maps for all three races can be found online at www.fwtrot.org. New this year – FREE race photo for all registered participants!
Registration for all events is now open. For convenience, participants can register online at www.fwtrot.org now through November 25. Prices begin at $26 per person and increase as the race gets closer. In person registration also available at Luke’s Locker in Fort Worth (2600 W. 7th Street) or Southlake (1081 E. Southlake Blvd #160) until November 25.

• Chip timing is $3 and is REQUIRED to be eligible to win your age division.
Packet pick-up will be at either Luke’s Locker location and will take place from Wednesday, November 18 through Wednesday, November 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Packet pick-up on Wednesday, November 25 starts at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 2 p.m. in Southlake and 5 p.m. in Fort Worth.
