Bringing the aesthetic of classic movie musicals to the stage, two actor/dancers and four ridiculous puppets playing 16 different characters, use rapid-fire dialogue, physical comedy, 1930s music (think Benny Goodman), Fred and Ginger-style dancing and boxing to tell a romantic rags-to-riches story about beating the odds and spending your time wisely in Trick Boxing: Swingin' in the Ring. The artists of Sossy Mechanics, Megan McClellan and Brian Sostek will also be engaged with arts and humanities students at UT Dallas during a week-long residency.
