Preservation Dallas In-Town Outing at Cedars Corner

Cedars Corner

Cedars Corner, a historic building that has lived many lives since 1923, will invite visitors on Saturday, March 25, as part of Preservation Dallas’ March In-Town Outing. The event will celebrate the revitalization of the building located at the corner of Akard and Griffin in The Cedars, one of Dallas’s oldest neighborhoods.

Preservation Dallas will welcome guests at 10 a.m. for delicious cheesecakes at the beloved Val’s Kitchen & Pantry. At 10:15 a.m., a presentation will include speakers from Preservation Dallas, the building developers, and current residents, and a guided tour of Cedars Corner. The tour is $10, and free for dues-paid Preservation Dallas members.

Following the event, guests will have the option to stop by Distinctive Vines Wine Lounge for a $25 prix-fixe brunch that includes a charcuterie board, glass of wine or another beverage and a special slice of cheesecake from Val’s Cheesecakes. Seating for brunch will begin at 11:30 a.m.
