Join IAM for a Scholar's Talk with Brigadier General Leon Johnson! General Johnson will talk about the history of African Americans in military service throughout the history of the United States.

Leon Johnson retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of brigadier general after 33 years of service.  During his AF career, General Johnson commanded a fighter squadron, fighter group, was the Vice Commander of 10th Air Force at the Joint Reserve Base in Ft. Worth, TX, and served as Mobilization Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force.

General Johnson was Tuskegee Airmen Incorporated national president for 10 years.  In 2019 he received the FAA Wright Brothers “Master Pilot” Award for 50 years of safe flying.
