I Love, I Love, I Love You: A Workshop Series

Join Arts Mission Oak Cliff for three evenings of celebration, creation, and exploration as we interrogate the many facets of love in our three-part workshop series I Love, I Love, I Love You led by writer Dani Holway. We invite you to join us for the full workshop or a single day, all skill levels are welcome and encouraged!

Feb 1: Life

Join us for part one, Life, which is intended to unearth the many ways in which love imbues and emboldens our lives – whether in your morning coffee ritual, your dog, or your favorite color. Participants will be led through a warm-up and subsequent writing exercise and leave with a renewed and supported creative spirit. Life will invite your mind and your heart to commune, with the opportunity to share your experience through given prompts at the end of the lesson.

Feb 6: Self

Join us for part two, Self, which will challenge and remind participants to appreciate the power they hold and the space they take up in ways many of us are hesitant to harness. Participants will be led through a warm-up and subsequent writing exercise and leave with a renewed and supported creative spirit. Self will invite your mind, body, and heart to commune, with the opportunity to share your experience through given prompts at the end of the lesson.

Feb 9: Heart

Join us for part three, Heart, which will sing the praises and pain of romantic love. Participants will be led through a warm-up and subsequent writing exercise and leave with a renewed and supported creative spirit. Heart will invite your past, present, and future to commune with the opportunity to share your experience through given prompts at the end of the lesson.

More about writer, Dani Holway:

Dani Holway (she/her) was born and raised a fierce Texas horse-girl and rebel artist with a passion for words and lyricism. An accomplished actor, musician, and writer, she graduated from the University of North Texas with her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre in 2018 and earned her Master of Fine Arts in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May 2020. She has wreaked creative havoc across the country, most recently in sunny, insatiable Los Angeles, before returning home to Dallas where she now teaches and leads a monthly community writing workshop, ARTeries. Her poetry and creative non-fiction have been published in several notable literary magazines, and most importantly, she is mom to the best dog ever, Marty McFly.
