"Remember when..." with the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving

Irving Arts Center

Remember when... the holidays meant Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" and holiday singalongs?

They're back!  The New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving's holiday concert, "Sundays at the Symphony" Dec.11, is an afternoon of holiday music and live ballet by Momentum Dance.  In Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite," a young girl dreams of "candies" come to life, dancing for her and her dashing "Nutcracker" prince!   And you'll also hear medleys of familiar holiday music, find yourself singing along, and be surprised, when composer David Lovrien tilts favorite carols into a minor key, in "Minor Alterations!"

Come early for our annual holiday market, a silent auction with small items for your tree - concert tickets, handmade items, art - with bidding beginning at 50%-off their usual prices.

And this concert is our benefit for Irving Cares' holiday food pantry, helping Irving neighbors who need a hand.  Bring a non-perishable food item - a can or package - and get two tickets for the price of one!  It's our gift to you.
