TRANSCENDANCE is the first formal exhibition of the extraordinary dance photographs created by noted photographer Kent Barker.
For the past year, Kent has focused his lens on professional company members within the DFW area. Collectively, this body of work shines a light on local companies Dallas Black Dance Theater, Bruce Wood Dance and Texas Ballet Theater, revealing both the depth and quality of talent that resides there. As individual works of art, the photographs transcend local boundaries and connect the viewer with the universal beauty of dance and movement.
All of the prints on view have been made by the artist in his studio and are offered in limited editions.
The opening reception for TRANSCENDANCE will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 3-6 p.m.
The exhibition runs from December 6, 2022 - January 16, 2023
