The Art Gallery at Collin College will host “Behind the Seen,” an exhibition of work by Bonny Leibowitz, from Sept. 28-Oct. 26. A reception and an Art Café learning experience are planned during the show’s run. The exhibition and events are free and open to the public.
Leibowitz produces objects, installations, and paintings utilizing a multitude of materials in ways that often disguise their origin, blurring the boundaries between the manufactured and the natural.
“My work is based in self-reflection, observing and breaking down multifaceted, long-held beliefs related to perceptions of separateness and connectedness,” Leibowitz said.
An Art Café discussion and learning experience are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20, from 1-1:45 p.m.
