Party on the Porch

Amon Carter Museum of American Art

Join us for our annual Party on the Porch and celebrate the closing weekend of Sargent, Whistler, and Venetian Glass: American Artists and the Magic of Murano. Explore the galleries, get creative with art-making activities, and end the night with a free outdoor concert featuring country artist Brent Cobb.

Download a PDF of the schedule of events.

Throughout the evening create a Venice-themed cityscape that will evolve and change all night; make your own colorful, mixed media mosaic inspired by works in our special exhibition Sargent, Whistler, and Venetian Glass; create your own glowing, wearable artwork; bring to life a work of art at our hands-on sensory stations; and participate in talks and tours throughout the galleries. Don’t miss your chance to explore Sargent, Whistler, and Venetian Glass and Black Every Day: Photographs from the Carter Collection before they close on September 11. Members can enjoy an exclusive area with a free bar and lite bites.

All ages require a free ticket to enter the event, including toddlers and infants.
