Description:
Learn the different sculpture mediums, techniques and tools as you create your own 3D artworks. With some trial and error and try again, students will work in molding, casting, wire, wood, earth clay and ceramic glazes. Sometimes we will translate our drawings and ideas into 3D form, and sometimes we will feel our way with the clay. Students will finish functional ceramic pieces, as well as several small sculptures, and a series of drawings. Our first week will be building with clay. The second week, we will glaze, assemble, draw, and put our functional ceramics to work.
