Rapsodia de un Pueblo (Coronada y el Toro /Coronada and the Bull), the masterpiece of Francisco Nieva (1924-2016), Spain’s most celebrated contemporary playwright, has been adapted into a bilingual format. Nieva’s masterpiece dramatizes the conflict between a brother and a sister over a bullfighting feast in a Spanish town. Coronada condemns the event and pleads with the authorities to remove Zebedeo from power as the town’s mayor. When her plea is ignored, he puts her under house arrest.
