Selections from the Permanent Collection


Irving Arts Center

Artwork from the Irving Arts Center's permanent collection is featured in a new exhibition in the Carpenter Lobby Gallery. Selections representing ten artists in the collection include a bronze sculpture entitled Loaded To Go by African wildlife artist, Robert Glen (known for his iconic Mustangs of Las Colinas, one of the largest equine sculptures in the world); 14 of J. J. L’Heureux’s photographs from the Faces from the Southern Ocean and Shackleton’s Hut series documenting her Antarctic expeditions; Día de Muertos-inspired serigraphs by Mexican artist Antonio Ehrenzweig; Zima, a painted aluminum wall sculpture by Heather Marcus; mixed media New Mexico landscapes by Robert N. Batson and the recently donated painting, Hybrid: Floral Four (2011) by Dallas artist, Bob Nunn.
