The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is pleased to announce ART CLUB, a series of workshops for artists. ART CLUB is a program created and administered by the Oak Cliff Cultural Center with the goal of providing local artists with educational resources to grow their career and network. ART = Access, Resources, Tools. The program offers a variety of workshops and meeting sessions with professionals at the helm. ART CLUB is designed to answer questions, provide an environment for growth and to create a network of well-equipped artists.
The inaugural series of ART CLUB will feature three writing workshops presented by artists and arts professionals. Dallas based artist Ciara Elle Bryant will lead an artist statement development workshop, NALAC – National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures will present on grant-writing, and Ariana Cook will lead a budget development workshop.
Offered the first Saturday of each month, ART CLUB workshops are free and open to the public. Future workshops will cover business of art best practices, social media and marketing, and materials and processes. Each session will end with a networking event to encourage community and collaboration.
