Royal Reads

Irving Public Library System

In January and February, Irving Public Library presents Royal Reads, the theme of the 2022 Adult Winter Reading Challenge. This annual program series invites adults to read, win a prize and attend specially-themed events. Plans for this year include February's free King Tut Museum Replicas Exhibit and Tour at South Irving Library, made possible with the Museum of Modern Art and the Cairo Museum. Additional regal engagements include an afternoon tea, trivia night, book discussions and arts activities.
To participate in the reading challenge, adults may pick up a printed log form at any library location or register online at IrvingLibrary.READsquared.com. Participants receive a prize for reading and logging five books, either print or audio titles, between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28.The prize limit is one per person, while supplies last.
For readers interested in librarians’ recommendations, READsquared also features specially-curated book lists. Themes include royalty in real life and fantasy, imperial intrigue, the kingly sport of chess and more.

Seize this golden opportunity and heed the request to take an audience with Irving Public Library — review the full schedule on the library's website.
