Join Executive Director Peter Poulides along the canals of Las Colinas for our first photo walk of 2022.
If you’ve never explored the Las Colinas canals, you are missing out on a charming hideaway in the midst of the bustle of DFW. Inspired by the Venetian canals, this area offers a chance to practice shooting reflections, interesting architecture, and even some street photography of those walking along the tree-lined cobbled streets.
We’ll begin the photo walk at the Mandalay Canal Bridge and meander down the walkways around Lake Carolyn. Our instructor will be there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and give some feedback on your photos. After the photo walk, attendees will be able to walk around the canals independently. Please bring a mask for instances when you are near your fellow photographers.
Any camera will do – smartphone, DSLR, mirrorless, film.
WHAT’S NEW:
Instead of an online class before the walk, we will now have an online image review a few days after to show off the photos you captured during the walk. We’ll meet online via Zoom to look at our images and get supportive feedback from the group. Shooting and reviewing as a group offers insights into your own and others’ photography.
