CANCELLED: Ben Folds in Concert with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra

Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center

CANCELLED

Statement by Ben Folds Management on additional 2021 dates being postponed/cancelled:

The following previously scheduled 2021 shows have been cancelled or postponed: New Haven, Dallas, Tampa, Charleston, Portland and Detroit.

While our contacts at these venues have been working closely with us to ensure appropriate COVID protocols are implemented, because of trends in the rate of COVID infections that are beyond their control, we do not feel it prudent at this time to proceed with these particular shows. Ben’s remaining 2021 shows, requiring all audiences to be fully vaccinated and wearing masks while inside the venues, are still on schedule.

ENRICO LOPEZ-YAÑEZ conducts

Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation. He’s created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums and numerous collaborative records.

His last album was a blend of pop songs and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra that soared to #1 on both the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts.

For over a decade he’s performed with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras and currently serves as the first ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, and we’re thrilled to have him for three nights this season!
