Let’s get outdoors and paint in oils! This series will introduce oil painting through “en plein air” landscape painting in and around Dallas. We will focus on the basics of painting in oils to capture flora and geography while exploring mark, light, and depth. We will use techniques and learn tricks to make paintings that reflect being and painting outdoors. Each session will take place at a different outdoor location and participants will leave with the inspiration and skills to continue painting. Kim will determine the specific location each week dependent on weather conditions. Covered locations will be used on rainy days. Only sessions with extreme weather conditions will be rescheduled for a make-up date.
