HOPE is a virtual performance of 6 dance films featuring world premieres by choreographers Adam W. McKinney, Jonathan Campbell, Kimi Nikaidoh, and Joy Bollinger along with one Bruce Wood classic and one seldom seen Bruce Wood work created in 2010. Included in two of these world premieres are original scores by Broadway composer Joseph Thalken and local musical artist Najeeb Sabour.
These films, brought to life in collaboration with local filmmakers The Digibees, will weave a story of justice, healing, compassion, and love through amplifying Black voices, telling a personal story of COVID-19 survival, and celebrating the beauty in the world around us.
