Generous Movers

Arts Mission Oak Cliff

A donation-based movement meditation and prayer class. Open to all, not just those classically trained in dance, Generous Movers presents an opportunity for the whole body to connect to the creative spirit flowing through all of us. Lead by the lovely and inspiring Sarah Matzke, participants are invited into an embodied conversation with the divine. Let's move together in the #AMOCsanctuary. All classes are donation-based; money collected goes to support others in the community.

Sarah Matzke is a dance artist, choreographer and educator whose primary research focuses on embodied cognition, phenomenology and the role of experiential learning theory in education. Matzke holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography from Jacksonville University. She has been a guest artist in the United States, South America, South-Eastern Asia, and the Middle East. She is the co-founder of a non-profit organization that equips leaders in developing countries to use somatic movement for healing and community reconstruction. Matzke is Adjunct Faculty at Texas Christian University and The University of Texas at Dallas.
